Dhanteras 2026: What to Buy Other Than Gold
Gold isn't the only Dhanteras tradition. Here's what else to buy this year, and where to place it.
Dhanteras 2026 falls on Fri, 6 Nov 2026, two days before Diwali. Buying gold or silver on this day is the best-known custom, but Dhanteras is really about welcoming Dhanvantari and Goddess Lakshmi with any new, auspicious purchase for the home — and crystals, yantras and puja items are an increasingly popular, more affordable alternative to gold.
