This policy explains what information The Indian Vedic Crystal ("we") collects when you use theindianvediccrystal.com, and why. We have designed the Site to collect as little as possible.
1. Birth details stay on your device
All astrology calculations (Lagna, nakshatra, Dasha, Guna Milan, Sade Sati and so on) run inside your browser. The name, date, time and place of birth you type into a tool are not sent to our servers. They are saved only in your own browser's local storage so other tools can pre-fill them. You can remove them at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser.
2. City search
When you type a birth city, the text you type is sent to the Open-Meteo geocoding service to look up coordinates and time zone. Nothing else is sent. See Open-Meteo's own terms for how they handle requests.
3. Information you choose to give us
If you use a sign-up form (for example, moon-phase reminders or a free report), we collect the email address or WhatsApp number you enter, your first name if given, the tool you used and a short summary of the result (such as "Life Stone: Amethyst") — never your full birth data. We use this only to send what you asked for and occasional related updates. Every message includes a way to unsubscribe. If you order a product or contact us, we use the details you provide to fulfil and support your order.
4. Cookies, analytics and advertising
- Necessary storage: your saved birth details and your cookie choice, kept in your browser.
- Analytics: Google Analytics 4 helps us understand which pages and tools are used, with IP anonymisation, using Google Consent Mode. For visitors in the EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland, analytics and advertising cookies stay off until you click "Accept". Elsewhere they are on by default, and you can switch them off at any time with "Only necessary" or Cookie settings.
- Advertising: we may show ads via Google AdSense. If you choose "Only necessary" (and, in the EU/EEA/UK/Switzerland, until you accept) we request non-personalised ads; otherwise Google may use cookies to personalise ads. 5. Affiliate links
Some product links go to third-party stores such as Amazon. When you click them, those sites may set their own cookies under their own privacy policies.
6. Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us run the Site (hosting, analytics, email/WhatsApp delivery, payment and courier partners for orders), or when required by law.
7. Retention
Sign-up details are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Order records are kept as long as tax and accounting law requires.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 or the EU/UK GDPR), you may have the right to access, correct or delete your data, withdraw consent, and complain to a regulator. To exercise these rights, or to reach our grievance officer, email hello@theindianvediccrystal.com. We respond within 30 days.
9. Children
The Site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their contact details.
