Which crystals should not be kept in moonlight or water?+
Moonlight is safe for all crystals. Water is not: selenite, pyrite, malachite, turquoise, lapis lazuli, opal and pearl should not be soaked. Sunlight fades amethyst, rose quartz, citrine and fluorite.
Should I cleanse crystals on Amavasya?+
Yes — the new moon is traditionally for releasing and cleansing, while the full moon is for charging and setting intentions.
