Can Aries Lagna wear Malachite?
Malachite (Dana Firang) is ruled by Mercury. Here's what Vedic astrology says for Aries (Mesha) rising.
Why
For Aries (Mesha) Ascendant, Mercury rules the 3rd house (courage, siblings and communication) and the 6th house (enemies, debts, disease and competition). Lordship of only difficult houses makes Mercury a functional malefic for Aries Lagna. Classical guidance is not to strengthen it with its gemstone. Because Malachite is a modern healing crystal rather than a Jyotish ratna, keeping it in your space (not worn as a ring) is a gentler way to use it.
Mesha Lagna natives walk into a room head-first — direct, energetic and quick to start things. Mars as the chart ruler gives courage and a competitive streak, but also impatience when results are slow.
Best stones for Aries Lagna
The three classically safest stones for any Lagna belong to the lords of the 1st, 5th and 9th houses (the trikonas). For Aries they are:
If you do wear Malachite
- Finger & metal: Little finger of the working hand, or as a pendant, Silver or gold, with the stone sealed and fully set
- Day & time: Wednesday, Morning, within two hours after sunrise
- Mantra: Om Braam Breem Braum Sah Budhaya Namah — 108 times
